Feel It!
Used - LP - Z 30239
Rare 1970 Original. Features The Pointer Sisters Plus Chepito Areas And Mike Carabello Of Santana. 1C/1D Stampers. Promotion Sticker On Back Cover. Vinyl Appears Glossy; Cover Has Some Light Wear, Hence Reduced Price. “The Elvin Bishop Group's Second Album Saw The Band Tilt The Balance More Away From Blues-Rock, And Toward Soul-Rock And R&B-Influenced Rock, Than Had Been The Case On Their Debut. The Result Was More Consistent Than The Patchy The Elvin Bishop Group, But Still Not An Optimum Distillation Of Bishop's Talents. Jo Baker Took Over Much Of The Lead Vocal Duties, And While That Was A Plus Inasmuch As Bishop Himself Didn't Have Many Singing Chops To Speak Of, Baker Was Only An Adequate Soul Singer. Again The Program Was Split Between Blues-R&B-Soul Covers And Originals, But The Covers Weren't Remarkable Interpretations, And The Group-Generated Compositions Were Just So-So. Bishop's Guitar Prowess Is Rather Subdued On Much Of The Material, A Highlight Being The Santana-Like Instrumental "Hogbottom," Which Indeed Features Chepito Areas And Mike Carabello Of Santana On Percussion.” Richie Unterberger, AMG.

Hometown Boy Makes Good!
New - LP - CP 0176
1976 VG++ Original Complete With The Capricorn Records Inner Sleeve. Moderate Wear To Jacket. "Elvin Bishop broke the bank with the success of "Fooled Around and Fell in Love" in the spring of 1976, so when he returned with this album in the fall, he turned up on the cover holding bags of money. The question, of course, was whether the hit would turn out to be a breakthrough or a fluke. The nearest thing to a follow-up to "Fooled Around" was "Spend Some Time," a ballad on which Mickey Thomas again sang soulfully. But it barely scraped into the charts, and the rest was typical Bishop good-time boogie (along with trendy tastes of disco and reggae), the relatively thin songwriting reflecting a rushed recording schedule -- this was Bishop's fourth new album in just over two and a half years." All Music Guide - William Ruhlmann
