Keedy - Chase The Clouds Chase The Clouds
Pop Used - CD PROMO 1 Arista
1990 Promotional Package Housed In An LP-Sized Laminated Presentation Box. Includes The CD, Cassette An Unused Keedy "Chase The Clouds" Notepad And A Keedy Badge. Appears Unplayed. “For A Fleeting Moment, Keedy Showed Signs Of Promise In Becoming A Bona Fide Pop Star With Fiery Ambition. From The Opening Dance-Pop Single, "Save Some Love," It Was Apparent That Keedy Was Not Going To Be Just Another Cookie-Cutter Pop Singer, Pre-Fabricated By Major Label Agendas. Chase The Clouds Showcases Keedy's Powerful Vocal Range By Putting Her Through The Test In A Wide Range Of Music Styles: The Upbeat Motown-Esque "Never Never Land," The Powerful Opening, "Save Some Love," And The Closer, "Lazy Day." But There Are Also Moments Where She Shines As A Singer Of Beautiful Ballads With Flawless Delivery. Unfortunately, Chase The Clouds Was Released During A Time When The Pop Charts Were In A Major Upheaval, And Music Made Major Cultural Shift Away From This Style. This, Combined With The Over-Abundance Of Similar Artists, Left Keedy Sorely Neglected And Glossed Over; Which Is Unfortunate Because Chase The Clouds Takes Any Of Those Teeny Bop Records Of The Era To Serious Task, And Puts Them To Shame With Ease.” Rob Theakston, AMG.... more details
