Audiophile - Used - HE 44946
1980 limited edition half-speed master housed in a gatefold cover. A benchmark album in the pantheon of rock. Released in 1971, it showcases King's incredible songwriting talents and her beautiful voice. The album is a mix of introspective ballads that explore themes of love and self-discovery, as well as upbeat, catchy tunes that are perfect for singing along to. Standout tracks include "It's Too Late", "You've Got a Friend", and "Natural Woman". What makes "Tapestry" so special is its timeless quality; even almost 50 years later, the songs still feel relevant and resonant. The album has been praised for its honesty and vulnerability, and it's easy to see why. King's lyrics are deeply personal, but they also speak to universal experiences. "Tapestry" is a must-listen for anyone who loves great songwriting and beautiful music. It's a true masterpiece.

Tapestry
Used - LP - PE 34946
1977 Keel pressing Gatefold in shrink. "Tapestry" is a classic record album that defined the sound of early 1970s pop music. Released in 1971, "Tapestry" was King's second solo album and went on to become one of the best-selling albums of all time. It contains some of King's most famous songs, including "It's Too Late," "I Feel the Earth Move," and "You've Got a Friend."
The album is a blend of folk, pop, and rock music, with King's piano playing and distinctive voice serving as the backbone of each song. The lyrics are personal and introspective, and King's delivery is honest and authentic. The album's production is clean and polished, but it never feels overproduced or slick.
One of the standout tracks on "Tapestry" is "It's Too Late," a song about the end of a relationship that became an instant classic. King's vocals on the track are raw and emotional, and the piano-driven melody is catchy and haunting. "I Feel the Earth Move" is another standout track, with its driving beat and infectious chorus.
Other highlights on the album include "So Far Away," a melancholy ballad that showcases King's piano skills, and "Beautiful," a song that celebrates the beauty of the world around us. "You've Got a Friend," a song written by King's longtime friend and collaborator James Taylor, is another standout track that has become a classic in its own right.
Overall, "Tapestry" is a timeless record album that has aged well over the years.

Thoroughbred
Used - LP - SP-77034
1975 US Original Monarch Pressing With Custom Printed Inner. Beautiful Copy! Produced By Lou Adler. "1976's Thoroughbred Was Carole King's Last Album For Lou Adler's Ode Records Imprint, And It's Clearly A Transitional Release. Change Was Afoot In The Musical Air In 1976, And While There's No Hints Of Punk Or Disco On Thoroughbred--which Is A Good Thing--king Is Definitely Moving Away From The Solo Piano Sound Of Her Earlier Solo Albums. King's Thumping, Percussive Piano Playing Is Still All Over The Album, But Guitars Play A More Prominent Role Than Ever Before. At Times, The Instrumental Interplay Resembles That Of Fleetwood Mac, Particularly Waddy Wachtel's Lindsey Buckingham-like Solo On "Only Love Is Real." The Songs Themselves Are In The Eclectic Style Of 1973's All-over-the-map Fantasy, With The Country-tinged "We All Have To Be Alone" And "Ambrosia" Sitting Comfortably Between The Slinky Pop Of "I'd Like To Know You Better" And The Soulful "Still Here Thinking Of You"." All Music Guide Review.
