"Peter Criss" is the debut solo album by Peter Criss, the drummer of Kiss. It was released in 1978, during a period when each member of Kiss released a solo album simultaneously.
The album was produced by Vini Poncia, who had previously worked with Kiss on their albums "Dynasty" and "Unmasked." It features a mix of rock and pop songs, with Criss showcasing his soulful vocals on tracks like "I'm Gonna Love You" and "Don't You Let Me Down."
Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, the album was a commercial success, peaking at #43 on the US Billboard 200 chart and being certified Gold by the RIAA.
Following the release of his solo album, Criss continued to perform and record with Kiss until leaving the band in 1980. He would go on to release several more solo albums in the following years.
