70's Mono pressing in laminated cover. Guitar In My Hands: An Anthology Of Texas Blues Guitarists (1949-1966)" is a revelatory compilation, meticulously curated to spotlight the unsung torchbearers of the Texas blues tradition. This anthology excavates rare and influential sides from iconic regional guitarists such as Nelson Carson, Albert Collins, and Roy Gains. Rather than highlighting only household names, the collection traces the rich, stylistic diversity of Texas blues, showcasing raw, unvarnished recordings that bridge rural acoustic stylings and the grittier, electrified sounds emerging in postwar Texas.
