Band Leader Bernabei Had Formerly Worked With Ray Pearl, Arvin Dale, Jan Garber And Don Reid Before Forming His Own Musical Congregation In 1958. Although This Group Proved Highly Popular In Los Angeles, California, The Chances Of Nationwide Fame In The Face Of Rock ‘N’ Roll’s Onslaught Had Receded Dramatically. Providing A Diet Of Songs In The Classic Dance Band Tradition, Including ‘Bernabei’s Bounce’ And ‘Memories Of You’, The Group Secured Dates At Many Ballrooms And Hotels. Bernabei’s Main Contracts Came From The Chateau Ballroom (Los Angeles) And Golden West Ballroom (Norwalk), Finding More Permanent Employment At The Latter Emporium As Manager And Leader Of The House Band.
