Sealed 2011 2LP 180gm Gatefold Original With Custom Sticker On Shrink. “This Isn’t A Conventional Rock Album By Any Means, And My Morning Jacket Rarely Waste An Opportunity To Dive Down The Creative Rabbit Hole And See What Exists On The Other Side. ‘70s Rock Epics, Trippy Pop Waltzes, Piano Ballads, Motown Metal Fusions, And Orchestral Folk Songs Are What They Come Up With, And The Album Rarely Explores The Same Sound Twice, Bouncing Between Amalgamated Genres With Purpose And A Sly Grin. There’s Humor Here, Of Course -- “Holdin’ On The Black Metal” Combines A Children’s Choir With Funky Brass And Fuzztone Guitars, And Jim James Hums The Victorious Horn Riff In “Victory Dance” Like He’s Doing An Impression Of “The Final Countdown” -- But There’s No Talk Of “Peanut Butter Pudding Surprise,” And Most Of The Jokes Hit Their Mark. My Morning Jacket Are Clearly Having Fun, And They’re Learning How To Be “Out There” Without Being Outlandish.” - Andrew Leahey, AMG more

Evil Urges
New - LP - ATO0058
Sealed 2021 2LP Gatefold Repress On Limited Edition Cream Colour Vinyl With Black Blob. Newly Mastered At Half-Speed. "Coming From A Young Band Whose First Three Albums Earned Them A Reputation As Hairy Torchbearers Of Guitar-Driven Classic Rock, The Title Is Also About Messing With Expectations. Evil Urges Explodes The Band's Sound With The Same Kind Of Creative Leap That Wilco Took On "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" And Radiohead Took On "Kid A." MMJ's Reverence For Neil Young And Crazy Horse Is Well Documented; Their Prince Fetish Less So. Nothing In Their Discography Could Anticipate A Song Like "Highly Suspicious," Evil Urges' Biggest WTF Moment. It's Both Hilarious And Badass. MMJ Also Embrace Prog Rock — A Direction That Initially Seems At Odds With Their Populist Jam-Band Vibe. But James Is Determined To Have It Both Ways. The Elaborate, Shimmering Vocal Overdubs On "Touch Me I'm Going To Scream, Part 1" Recall 10cc's Prog-Pop Landmark "I'm Not In Love." And The Record's 13-Minute Tag-Team Finale, "Smokin From Shootin" And "Touch Me I'm Going To Scream, Part 2," Morphs Between Radiohead's Computer-Assisted Soul, Avant-Roots Rock And A Chugging Pink Floyd Space Anthem. There Are Lots Of Old-School Moments Like This On Evil Urges. Some Showcase Group Vocals; For The First Time, James' Bandmates Sing Backup, Adding A Shaggy Richness To The Mix. "Two Halves" Is A Love Letter To Youth With A Frankie Valli Doo-Wop Touch. "I'm Amazed" Is A Slow-Grind Beer-Slosher With A Hollered Good-Ol'-Boy Chorus, While "Sec Walkin'" Shows Off James' Deep Love Of Seventies Soul. Evil Urges Refutes The Idea That Indie Rock These Days Is Too White. It's A Beautifully Miscegenated Mess: "Thank You Too" Conjures The Stylistics, "Aluminum Park" Conjures The Replacements, And It's All Good." - Will Heremes, Rolling Stone more

Sealed 2021 2LP remix/remaster on golden smoke vinyl. "It Still Moves" is the third studio album by American rock band My Morning Jacket, released in 2003. The album has been praised for its combination of classic rock, country, and psychedelic sound, with Rolling Stone magazine calling it "a modern classic". The opening track "Mahgeetah" has been described as a standout song, with its driving guitar riff and soaring vocals. Other notable tracks on the album include "Dancefloors", "One Big Holiday", and "Steam Engine". The album has been praised for its dynamic range and production quality, with a distinctly vintage feel. Lead singer Jim James' vocals have been compared to Neil Young and the band's instrumentation has been compared to The Band and The Allman Brothers. "It Still Moves" is a critically acclaimed album that showcases My Morning Jacket's unique blend of classic rock, country, and psychedelic sound. Its dynamic range and production quality make it a standout album in the band's discography. more

My Morning Jacket
Colored Vinyl - New - ATO0573
Sealed 2021 2LP Limited Edition Colour Variant On Sky Blue & Tangerine Coloured Vinyl. "After They Finished Recording 2015's The Waterfall, My Morning Jacket Appeared To Fade From View, Playing Only A Handful Of Shows As Singer/guitarist Jim James And Lead Guitarist Carl Broemel Released Solo Material And The Other Members Of The Group Worked On Other Projects. When They Finally Did Release An Album In 2020, The Waterfall Ii, It Was Compiled From Outtakes From The Waterfall Sessions, Which Would Lead Any Fan To Wonder If Mmj Had Any Sort Of Future. As It Happens, They Did -- A Four-show Run In 2019 Prompted Them To Return To The Studio To Work On New Material, And 2021's My Morning Jacket Finds The Band Back In Fighting Shape And Embracing Their Eclectic Psychedelic Roots Rock Vision With Passion And Clarity. The Waterfall Albums Captured Them Sounding Overcooked And Poorly Focused, Seeming Less Adventurous And More The Work Of A Band That Just Couldn't Make Up Their Mind, Which Made Mmj's Radio Silence All The More Alarming. My Morning Jacket Takes Plenty Of Stylistic Twists And Turns Over The Course Of 60 Minutes, But It Sounds Much More Organic And Of A Piece, And This Band Is Sounding More Like A Band Here, Five Musicians Who Are On The Journey Together, No Matter How Many Detours They Choose To Take. As Always, Jim James' Fusion Of Dylanesque Mumble And Soul Man's Wailing Is Something Of An Acquired Taste, But As With Their Best Work, It Works Well In Context And Goes A Long Way Towards Establishing And Maintaining A Mood, And Guitarist Broemel, Bassist Tom Blankenship, Keyboardist Bo Koster, And Drummer Patrick Hallahan Lock In With Confidence Alongside Him. Whether They're Digging Into The Hard Rock Strut Of "Complex," Enjoying The Blissed-out Drift Of "In Color," Nailing The Soulful Groove Of "Never In The Real World," Exploring The Slow, Jazzy Contemplation Of "The Devil's In The Details," Navigating The Wild Mood Swings Of "Lucky To Be Alive," Or Taking In The Pleasures Of The Glossy Dance Pulse Of "Love Love Love," This Is A Band That's Fully Engaged And Sounds More Comfortable Than They Have In The Studio For A While. And While The Performances And Production Are Tight And Well Structured, They Haven't Forgotten What Makes Them A Great Live Band On My Morning Jacket -- The Music Has A Natural Sense Of Following Its Own Path, And They're Not Afraid Of A Good Rave-up Where The Guitars Are Free To Wail. (It's Doubtless No Coincidence That James Engineered And Produced The Session, Without An Outside Influence To Get In The Way Of Their Progress.) My Morning Jacket Is Mmj's Most Satisfying Work Since 2008's Evil Urges, And A Splendid Example Of What Can Happen When Their Group Mind Is In Sync." AMG Review By Mark Deming. more

Tennessee Fire
Colored Vinyl - DRL 089
Sealed, Out Of Print Limited 2LP Colored Vinyl Gatefold Reissue Of Their 1999 Debut. Limited To 1000 Pressings. “My Morning Jacket Is A Four-Piece Band From Louisville, KY, Led By Singer/Songwriter Jim James. The Songs On Tennessee Fire (Darla 1999) Evoke Warm (And Somewhat Lonely) Memories Of A Gothic Country Night. Electric And Acoustic Guitars, Harmonica, Lap-Steel, Drums And Bass All Join His Unique (Neil Young Meets Wayne Coyne) Voice In A Huge Pool Of Reverb. At First You Wonder If The Sound Will Overtake The Songs, But After The First Chorus You Realize That The Beauty Of These Simple And Emotive Songs Is Only Enhanced By The Addition Of This Effect, And By The End Of The First Song, You Can't Even Tell That It's There. Released To (World) Wide Critical Acclaim, Tennessee Fire Provides Proof (200 Proof) That Heartfelt American Music Is Alive And Well, And Living In KY. A Must For Anyone Who Loves The Sound Of Alt-Country Mixed With Wide-Open Spaces.” Terrance Miles, AMG. more
