1984 Original in shrink. The main influence on Breakdancing or breaking, also called b-boying (when performed by men) or b-girling (women). Electro/boogie/hip hop group from Brooklyn, New York. In 1976, a DJ collective known as Jam-On Productions developed in Brooklyn, and was composed of Ben "Cozmo D" Cenac, his best friend David "Dr. Freeze" St. Louis, and Cenac's cousins Monique "Niqu D" Angevin and her brother Pete "Master Quadro" Angevin. In 1981, Cenac created a recording group as an extension of Jam-On, which included his wife Yvette (Lady E), Niqu D, and her future husband Bob "Chilly B" Crafton. This foursome originally went by Positive Messenger, but changed their name to Newcleus. Known as a big influence on Egyptian Lover. more
