1999
New - LP - 23720
Factory Sealed 1982 2LP Original, Saw Cut. 1999 Was Constructed Almost Entirely On Synthesizers By Prince Himself After His Previous LPs Had Contained A Fusion Of Organic And Electronic Sounds. Naturally, The Effect Was Slightly More Mechanical And Robotic Than His Previous Work And Strongly Recalled The Electro-Funk Experiments Of Several Underground Funk And Hip-Hop Artists At The Time. Prince Had Also Constructed An Album Dominated By Computer Funk, But He Didn't Simply Rely On The Extended Instrumental Grooves To Carry The Album — He Didn't Have To When His Songwriting Was Improving By Leaps And Bounds. The First Side Of The Record Contained All Of The Hit Singles And They Were The Ones That Contained The Least Amount Of Electronics. "Little Red Corvette" Is Pure Pop, And "Delirious" Takes Rockabilly Riffs Into The Computer Age. After That Opening Salvo, All The Rules Go Out The Window — "Let's Pretend We're Married" Is A Salacious Extended Lust Letter, "All The Critics Love U In New York" Is A Vicious Attack At Hipsters, And "Lady Cab Driver," With Its Notorious Bridge, Is The Culmination Of All Of His Sexual Fantasies. All In All 1999 Is A Stunning Display Of Raw Talent, Not Wallowing Indulgence.

1982 2LP Original With Custom Inner Sleeves And Shrink Wrap Intact. A2/B1/C1/D1 Stampers. 1999-The New Master
Colored Vinyl - 1999
Purple Vinyl 7 Remix 12 Inch In White Die Cut Sleeve With Title Sticker. “1999: The New Master, Is An EP Of Newly Recorded Remixes Of Prince's 1982 Hit, "1999". The EP Was Released In The Year 1999 To Take Advantage Of The Song's Namesake Year. Using The Original Tracks, Prince Added Additional Music, As Well As Contributions From A New Lineup Suspiciously Resembling The New Power Generation, Including Rosie Gaines, Larry Graham And Doug E. Fresh. The EP Was Released In The U.S. On CD, As Well As A Rare Purple Vinyl 12-Inch. Although Prince Was Still Going By His Unpronounceable, Symbolic Moniker At The Time, He Released The EP As "Prince And The Revolution", With The Word Revolution Written In Reverse, As It Had Been On The Original 1999 Album Cover. The Revolution Members On The Original Track (Lisa Coleman And Dez Dickerson) Did Not Participate In The Re-Recording, However. In Fact "The Inevitable Mix" Of The Track Cut Out The Original Members Altogether And Replaced Them With Graham And Gaines. Three Of The Tracks Had Very Little To Do With "1999" At All. "Keep Steppin'" And "Rosie & Doug E. In A Deep House" Were Little More Than Opportunities For Fresh To Rap And Rosie Gaines To Scat. The Track Called "Rosario" Featured Actress Rosario Dawson Performing A Political Spoken Word Over The Chords Of "Little Red Corvette".” - Wikipedia

Art Official Age
New - LP - 545612
Sealed 2014 2LP Gatefold Original With Small Custom Hype Sticker On The Shrink-Wrap. “Prince Returned To Warner Bros. Records In A Big Way In 2014, Settling A 15-Year Feud On Terms That Were Decidedly In His Favor. He Acquired The Rights To His Masters, Agreed To A Series Of Deluxe Reissues, And Released Two Brand-New Albums, One Recorded On His Own And One Recorded With His Backing Power Trio 3rdeyegirl. Art Official Age, The Album Credited To His Lonesome, Finds Prince Reveling In Many Of The Sounds Of The '80s, Reviving His Bob George And Camille Voices, Dabbling In Deep Electro-Funk On "What It Feels Like," Indulging In A Full-Fledged Freakout On "Funknroll." Despite All These Winking Allusions To His Past, Art Official Age Feels Of Piece Not With The Revolution But Rather The New Power Generation: Underneath The Squalls Of Guitar, Psychedelic Soul Harmonies, And Impish Humor, This Is A Full-Fledged R&B Album, One That Often Echoes Diamonds And Pearls. Like That 1991 Record, Art Official Age Is Heavy On Dance Songs With Rapped Verses That Don't Feel Informed By Hip-Hop And Slow-Burning Soul That Pulls The Past Into The Present. Some Of Prince's Modernization Feels A Bit Ham-Fisted -- He Turns The Internet Meme "This Could Be Us But You Playing" Into A Slow Jam -- But He Leaves All His Millennial Flirtations At The Margins Of The Record, Grounding It In Old-Fashioned Notions Of Seduction And Soul. If The Album Doesn't Offer Any Startling Surprises Along The Lines Of The Furious "Black Sweat" -- There's Not Much Abandon Here -- There's Joy In Hearing Prince Embrace His Lyrical Eccentricities As He Accessorizes His Smooth Jams And Coiled, Clean Funk With Such Oddities As Laser Blasts And Spoken Introductions From What Appear To Be British Nurses. Such Quirks May Be Fleeting But Their Presence Is Enough, Along With Such Fine Songs As "Breakfast Can Wait," To Elevate Art Official Age Above 20Ten And Other Pro Forma Latter-Day Prince Records.” S.T. Erlewine, AMG.

Black Album
Used - LP - 25677
Unreleased 1987 Original US Pressing Of Prince's Infamous Black Album. This Is The Holy Grail For Prince Collectors. Prince Decided The Material Was Too Dark And Violent And Pulled The Album A Week Before The Release Date, After Copies Had Been Pressed. Some European LPs Have Been Circulated, But In The US Warner Bros. Went On Lockdown And Only A Handful Of Copies Escaped Being Destroyed. At One Time, The Estimate Was Six Copies Survived. Former Band Member Alan Leeds Says The Number Was Higher, But Still Less Than 100 Copies Were In Circulation. These Would Be Copies Prince Gave To Band Members And Staff And Perhaps A Handful Through Warner That Escaped Destruction. The Rarity Has Placed This Pressing On Goldmine's List Of Most Valuable Records. This Copy Is Distinguishable From The Many Bootlegs By The Label Design And The Matrix (1-25677-A-SH 1). The Vinyl Itself Is A Bit Cloudy And Has Some Superficial Lines But Plays Nicely. This Particular Copy Was Given To A Record Store Employee In Albuquerque By The Local Warner Rep Before The Release Date Without The Cover Or Inner Sleeve. It Is Housed In A Generic Cover.

Dirty Mind
Used - LP - BSK 3478
Stunning 1980 Original (Pressed On Heavy Vinyl) With Custom Inner Sleeve, Gold Promo Stamp, Custom Song Hype Sticker And Rare Programmers Warning Sticker On The Jacket. Lowest Stampers We Have Seen On This Great LP: LW2/LW1. “Recorded In His Home Studio, With Prince Playing Nearly Every Instrument, Dirty Mind Is A Stunning, Audacious Amalgam Of Funk, New Wave, R&B, And Pop, Fueled By Grinningly Salacious Sex And The Desire To Shock. Where Other Pop Musicians Suggested Sex In Lewd Double-Entendres, Prince Left Nothing To Hide -- Before Its Release, No Other Rock Or Funk Record Was Ever Quite As Explicit As Dirty Mind, With Its Gleeful Tales Of Oral Sex, Threesomes, And Even Incest. Certainly, It Opened The Doors For Countless Sexually Explicit Albums, But To Reduce Its Impact To Mere Profanity Is Too Reductive -- The Music Of Dirty Mind Is As Shocking As Its Graphic Language, Bending Styles And Breaking Rules With Little Regard For Fixed Genres. Basing The Album On A Harder, Rock-Oriented Beat More Than Before, Prince Tries Everything -- There's Pure New Wave Pop ("When You Were Mine"), Soulful Crooning ("Gotta Broken Heart Again"), Robotic Funk ("Dirty Mind"), Rock & Roll ("Sister"), Sultry Funk ("Head," "Do It All Night"), And Relentless Dance Jams ("Uptown," "Partyup"), All In The Space Of Half An Hour. It's A Breathtaking, Visionary Album, And Its Fusion Of Synthesizers, Rock Rhythms, And Funk Set The Style For Much Of The Urban Soul And Funk Of The Early '80s.” Stephen Thomas Erlewine, AMG.

Piano & A Microphone 1983
New Import - R1 566557
Sealed 2020 Repress Of The 2018 Release. A Collection Of Previously Unreleased Home Studio Recordings. "As The First Major Release From Prince's Vault (The 2017 Expanded Edition Of Purple Rain Was Announced Prior To His 2016 Death), Piano & A Microphone 1983 Is Disarmingly Casual. Its Prosaic Title Is A Precise Description Of The Album's Content -- It Is Nothing More Than Prince Sitting At A Piano, Playing Whatever Comes To His Mind For Just Over Half An Hour -- Yet Even If The Record Delivers Upon That Promise, It's Not Quite As Simple As It Seems. For One, There's A Level Of Intimacy On Piano & A Microphone Unlike Anything Else In Prince's Catalog. While There May Have Been Some Editing Sleight Of Hand To Make These 35 Minutes Appear To Be A Continuous Performance, There's No Production To Speak Of, Yet It Still Bears The Hallmarks Of A Studio Recording; The Music Is Too Clear To Be Anything But. Despite Early Appearances Of "17 Days," "Purple Rain," And "Strange Relationship," This Can't Be Called A Demo Session: Prince Plays His Recent "International Lover," Hauls Out The Spiritual Standard "Mary Don't You Weep" -- A Song He Could In No Way Have Been Considering For Inclusion On An Album -- And Plays A Bit Of Joni Mitchell's "A Case Of You." The Brevity Of "A Case Of You" And "Purple Rain" -- Both Hover Around 90 Seconds -- Highlights This Session's Informality, But That Point Is Hammered Home At The End Of The Record When Prince Goofs Through "Cold Coffee And Cocaine" In A Voice He'd Later Perfect On "Bob George" And Tries To Find A Concrete Song Within "Why The Butterflies." Far From Detracting From Piano & A Microphone, These Loose Ends Are The Reason To Listen To The Album. The Whole Affair Plays Like The Listener Is Eavesdropping On Prince Creating, And There Simply Can't Be A Reissue More Valuable Than That." AMG Review By Stephen Thomas Erlewine.

Prince Shows Nearly All Of His Cards Here, From Bare-bones Electro-funk And Smooth Soul To Pseudo-psychedelic Pop And Crunching Hard Rock, Touching On Gospel, Blues, And Folk Along The Way. This Was The First Album Prince Recorded Without The Revolution Since 1982's 1999 (The Band Does Appear On The In-concert Rave-up, "It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night"), And He Sounds Liberated, Diving Into Territory Merely Suggested On Around The World In A Day And Parade. While The Music Overflows With Generous Spirit, These Are Among The Most Cryptic, Insular Songs He's Ever Written. Many Songs Are Left Over From The Aborted Triple Album Crystal Ball And The Abandoned Camille Project, A Prince Alter Ego Personified By Scarily Sped-up Tapes On "If I Was Your Girlfriend," The Most Disarming And Bleak Psycho-sexual Song Prince Ever Wrote, As Well As The Equally Chilling "Strange Relationship." These Fraying Relationships Echo In The Social Chaos Prince Writes About Throughout The Album. Apocalyptic Imagery Of Drugs, Bombs, Empty Sex, Abandoned Babies And Mothers, And Aids Pop Up Again And Again, Yet He Balances The Despair With Hope, Whether It's God, Love, Or Just Having A Good Time. In Its Own Roundabout Way, Sign 'o' The Times Is The Sound Of The Late '80s -- It's The Sound Of The Good Times Collapsing And How All That Doubt And Fear Can Be Ignored If You Just Dance Those Problems Away." Sign "O" The Times
New - LP - 19439863771
Sealed 2022 Remastered Reissue. This 1987 genre-defying masterpiece showcases Prince's unparalleled versatility and creativity. Spanning funk, rock, soul, pop, and jazz, the double album offers a deeply personal yet socially conscious reflection on the era's issues, from the title track’s commentary on AIDS, drug addiction, and violence to the tender balladry of "Adore." Prince's ability to seamlessly blend complex themes with innovative sounds highlights his genius as both a musician and cultural commentator. Tracks like "If I Was Your Girlfriend" and "Housequake" explore gender and identity, while "The Cross" delves into spirituality, proving that Prince was never afraid to challenge norms and push musical boundaries.
Beyond its thematic depth, Sign “O” The Times is a sonic tour de force, with Prince handling nearly every instrument and experimenting with production techniques that were ahead of their time. The raw energy and diverse soundscapes on this album solidify its status as one of his finest works. Each track flows effortlessly into the next, creating a cohesive yet eclectic body of work that continues to influence artists across genres. Often hailed as one of the greatest albums of all time, Sign “O” The Times captures Prince at his most daring, cementing his legacy as a pioneering artist unafraid to take risks.

Sign "O" The Times
Used - LP - 9 25577-1
1987 2LP original, Specialty Records pressing. Glossy, NM- vinyl. Solid VG+ jacket with small saw notch. "Fearless, eclectic, and defiantly messy, Prince's Sign 'O' the Times falls into the tradition of tremendous, chaotic double albums like The Beatles, Exile on Main St., and London Calling -- albums that are fantastic because of their overreach, their great sprawl. In its own roundabout way, Sign 'O' the Times is the sound of the late '80s -- it's the sound of the good times collapsing and how all that doubt and fear can be ignored if you just dance those problems away." The Hits 1
New - LP - 19439953411
Sealed 2022 Vinyl Compilation Reissue, Standard Black Vinyl Edition. "The Primary Fault With Prince's Two-Part Hits Collection Is That Both Volumes Are Missing Some Important Singles And Are Sequenced Incoherently, Thereby Failing To Give An Accurate Impression Of His Astonishing Musical Growth. However, They Do Contain Enough Necessary Items To Illustrate Why He Was One Of The Most Influential And Gifted Musicians Of The '80s, As Well As Providing A Reasonable Introduction And Compilation For Casual Fans. Hits 1 Contains A Good Cross Section Of His Biggest Hits -- "When Doves Cry" (Presented In An Edited Version), "When You Were Mine," "Let's Go Crazy," "1999," "Sign 'o' The Times," "Alphabet Street," "Diamonds And Pearls," "7" -- Plus New Items Like "Pink Cashmere" And "Nothing Compares 2 U" (A Prince Song That Sinéad O'connor Took To Number One) That Are Nearly As Good As The Familiar Tracks. However, It Provides An Incomplete Portrait, Making Hits 1 An Unnecessary Purchase." AMG Review By Stephen Thomas Erlewine.

Welcome 2 America
New - LP - 19439859801
Sealed 2021 2LP Gatefold Original. Side 4 Etched With The Prince Love Symbol. "Prince Recorded The 12 Songs That Comprise The Posthumous Album Welcome 2 America Back In 2010, Polished Off Some Mixes, And Allegedly Completed A Sequence, Then He Set It Aside. It's Impossible To Tell If Prince Considered The Album Finished Or If He Planned To Release It. He Did Launch The Welcome 2 Tour In December 2010 But It Was In Support Of 20ten, An Album Given Away With Copies Of The Daily Mirror In The U.K. And Never Officially Released In The U.S., And Almost No Songs From The Welcome 2 America Sessions Were Played On-stage Or Leaked From The Vaults: The Fizzy Trifle "Hot Summer" Was Streamed On The Website Of Local Radio Station 89.3 The Current But That Was It. Few Prince Fanatics Were Aware Of Its Existence Until It Was Unearthed In 2021 As The First Release In His Estate's Deal With Legacy. Complete Unreleased Albums Are Relatively Rare Among Prince's Known Outtakes, So The Appearance Of Welcome 2 America Was Big News. The Album Itself Doesn't Quite Live Up To Expectations. Welcome 2 America Is Essentially The Product Of Prince Giving The Rhythm Section Of Bassist Tal Wilkenfeld And Drummer Chris Coleman A Test Run, Leading The Pair Through Chord Sequences Without Singing Scratch Melodies Or Anything That Would Give Them An Idea Of A Finished Song. Prince Added His Vocals Later, Along With Harmonies And Keyboards From Morris Hayes, Who Is Credited As A Co-Producer On The Released Product. The Results Sound Every Bit As Complete As Either 20ten Or Art Official Age Or Any Other Latter-Day Official Prince Album. It Also Sounds Very Much Of A Piece With The Music Prince Made Toward The End Of His Life: He Moves With Ease Through The Slipstreams Separating Funk, Soul, And Pop, Using His Guitar As The Bonding Agent Between The Styles. The Opening Triptych Of "Welcome 2 America," "Running Game (Son Of A Slave Master)," And "Born 2 Die" Suggests Welcome 2 America May Be A Thematically Weightier Album Than Usual From Prince, But By The Time "Hot Summer" Kicks In, It's Clear This Is A Trick Of Sequencing; The Rest Of The Album Is Fairly Standard Prince Fare. The Sequencing Doesn't Do The Album A Lot Of Favors, As It Gets The Proceedings Off On A Slow Foot, But The Second Half Has A Distinct Pulse Surfacing On The Fuzz-Funk Of "Check The Record," The Sultry "When She Comes," And The Jazzy Struts "Same Page, Different Book," And "1010 (Rin Tin Tin)." Welcome 2 America Is Still A Latter-day Prince Album, So It's Filled With Vaguely Baffling Turns Of Phrase, Slick Jazz-Funk, And Covers Of 21st Century Soul Asylum Songs. In Other Words, It's Not A Buried Gem Or A Return To Form But A Snapshot Of An Excellent Musician Having A Pretty Good Run In The Studio." AMG Review By Stephen Thomas Erlewine.
