Sealed, Rare 1976 Private Press Original Out Of Bakersfield, California (Recorded In Visalia). This Is Definitely Not The Nautlius Recording Of The Same Name. Justin74 Writing In Waxidermy Says: “Randy Sharp Is A Mega-Star In Country Music And Has Been Writing Hits For YEARS! This Album Though, I Believe, Is His Demo Record. It Was Recorded In Visalia And Released Out Of Bakersfield, CA. Now While There Are Some Great Country Tunes On This There Are Two Outstanding Tracks That Make Me Play The B-Side At Least Once A Week. "Rosalinda" Is A Funky Guitar Driven Country Funk Tune. I Was Surprised At How Dope It Was To Me. Great Opening With Some Nice Breakdowns Throughout The Tune. However, The Stand-Out Track To Me Is The Last One On The LP. When "Country Song" Starts Playing I Immediately Get This Great Feel Good Vibe, Close My Eyes And Drift Off Into The Tune. My Wife Absolutely Loves This Tune And Asks For Me To Play It From Time To Time. You Be The Judge.” more

1977 Original non-signed and numbered pressing. Glossy, NM- vinyl. Moderate wear to brittle styrofoam jacket. Randy Sharp's *The First In Line* is a compelling example of how country music can weave storytelling with introspection to create an album that resonates on multiple levels. Released in 1976, this record showcases Sharp's deft ability to blend traditional country sounds with introspective lyrics, offering listeners a window into personal narratives marked by universal themes of love, longing, and resilience. His songwriting is both poignant and precise, with tracks that navigate the emotional terrain with a rare sincerity. The acoustic arrangements lend a raw, authentic vibe, enhancing the album's intimate connection with its audience. Sharp's vocals, delivered with a mix of earnestness and restraint, add an extra layer of depth, ensuring that each song's story is conveyed with utmost clarity. Critics have often noted Sharp's skill in crafting melodies that are both timeless and contemporary, bridging the gap between old-school country and modern sensibilities. Throughout *The First In Line*, Sharp's collaboration with other musicians results in a rich tapestry of sounds, from the gentle strumming of guitars to the subtle harmonies that punctuate key moments. This creates a soundscape that is both comforting and thought-provoking, inviting listeners to reflect on their own experiences. While the album didn't achieve mainstream commercial success, its artistic merit and the authenticity of its storytelling have secured its place as a cherished work among country music aficionados. It's an album that not only defines Randy Sharp as an artist but also highlights the enduring power of narrative in music. more
